My tower of happiness

when the doorbell rang on Tuesday morning, I jumped out of bed like I was late for something. LoL. My sister saw and thought what happened, simply asking, "who is that?"

I quickly replied her as I grabbed my keys, "Dont know. Maybe my jagariko?" with such anticipation..

She just made a small laugh and said, "oh. No wonder lah. Jump of out bed so fast!"

I quickly opened the door, sign it, grabbed it, and closed the door. LoL. True enough, it was my very very anticipated parcel. . .

The tower of my happiness..

Special Thank you to a special someone. Once again, you make me smile ^__^

Back to Basics

My first concert in Perth. First real concert in the sense that its someone I like.. LoL

We were seriously "underdressed". There were girls dressed like they were going clubbing. Perhaps after concert? Or is it because it's christina... Not sure. But it was freezing that night ok!! Never understand how they wear such skimpy clothing on a winter night >_<"
*everybody screams*

*one very lucky guy made "victim"*

*if I was a guy, I wish I was him*

All in all, very entertaining concert. Love her voice!! Love her songs. And she looked so cheeky during Candyman :P

But I sat quite far. Aussies are damn tall. They also love lifting their hands up, further blocking my view. Lady next to me was damn fat also -__-"

Concert was a bit short, only 1.5 hrs. When it was over, I kept asking my sister, "har, no more lah? how come ah? no encore wan ah? so short!!!!!" LoL

Next time when I have money and she comes again, I'm going to make sure I pick a nice seat :P Gold class also can ah!!! Hahaha

Jam Tarts

"Mother & Son"

Aunty has been away for one week already. I was a bit adventurous, and obviously hungry. Haha.

Tried this Oyakodon recipe from the newspaper..

boiling that time, smell soooo good. Egg, chicken, soya sauce, wine, onions.. although I'm not a fan of onions. I wanted to taste the sauce to see if it's ok. But then I remembered the raw chicken inside, so I didnt. And then I forgot >_<" Hahaha. Amateur ok :P

tadaa!!! Looks yummy or not? No hor?

It didnt taste that good either -__-" Not salty enough. Even after I added soya sauce and bit of wine for flavour, still a bit lacking.. dont know why >_<"

He asked why so much soup? LoL. Because I want more sauce for the rice mah! Obviously my cooking fail lah!! That's why the dish came out like that.. Aiks!

Oh, and chicken thigh is seriously hard to clean.. so much fat! everywhere! and so hard to remove!!! I'm starting to wonder how much fat I've actually consumed during my past KFC lunches..........

finally, I should seriously stick to baking >_<"

Shoes for my feet!!

NOVO was on sale. Saw some pretty nice pairs. Couldnt resist!! LoL. I'm catching on the Ladies-SHoes-Bug!! Never thought I'd be one of those females who go crazy over shoes. Haha.

First time buy shoes in Aust >_<" apart from high school shoes last time lah. Shoes here are never cheap. Feel a bit heartache after buying but I like them! Cant decide to feel happy or guilty. Haha.

After calling a few stores, finally I found ONE store in the city that stocks the colour and size I want..

"Renee"

Looks nice or not? :P Like it because of the style.
Black is dressy - for work or outings.
And the heel is not wobbly like those killer stilettos..

"Bonnie"

Classic looking pair of shoe. Hehe. Like it because it was comfy!!
Doesnt hurt my feet and its only got a small little heel.
Got the last brown pair! So lucky it was in my size :P
Casual, shopping, even work!! Haha.

Guess what? Because I bought 2 pairs, I only paid $15 for the second pair (brown)!! LoL. But the first pair was $40 lah. If I convert that back to RM, I could have bought a few more pairs at Vincci >_<" But then vincci shoes always hurt my feet and I dont know when I can go back to shop!! Really miss shopping in KL. Miss the great sales!! Miss the shoes! Miss the clothes! miss the bags! Except the sale crowd lah -__-" Dont like to crowd with so many people. Feels like I'm walking in pasar malam >_<"

chocolate cake!

Baked this the other day. First time try. Not too successful but still edible geh..

Pre-bake

It smelt so good when I took it out from the oven. So rich.. so chocolatey.. Mmmm

After very much thoughts, I decided to go ahead with the glazing.
So ugly hor? dont laugh lah!! I wanted some "natural wave" mah. Hahahaha.
Making the chocolate glaze from scratch is very hard work.
I need to find an easier way..

Tadaa!! Fudgy Chocolate Cake. Hehe.

The cake is quite nice. Rich. But the day after baking, it tastes like mudcake - rich but dense. So disappointed. Took so much time.

It will be a long time before I try this recipe again..

An achievement?

jealousy?

I dont feel too happy when friends tell me "just crap lah. Crap and get the job". Offended I guess.

Not sure if that is reflective of the recruitment criteria in Msia or I am simply a very poor crapper.

I feel a bit exploited as well. Feels like I'm trying so hard to get a job here in Perth when my friends are just crapping, and wala! they get a job.

not to mention, sounds quite easy for friends in KL to get interviews/eventually work in big companies while I am struggling here in Perth.

Is it really that much harder to get into a big corporate in Aust or is it just too easy in Msia?

When they ask me what sort of interview questions I get asked, they say "wow" and then tell me to crap.

I personally dont think crapping will get me the job. Because if you think about it, these people have been in the industry for many years and they have interviewed thousands of people like you. Will crapping really get you the job? To me, it will make you look stupid as you attempt to con your way thru the interview. I believe honesty is the best policy. And the ability to "sell" yourself is important. But this is simply my personal opinion. It might be true that crapping is another important skill.

But if crapping is an important skill, my very-competitive friend should not get the rejection letter he never thought he would get. I digress.

Sometimes I think of the success of securing a job here in Perth as an achievement. For I am fighting with aussies and other foreigners (european, american etc) for the job. If I get the job, I have done well. I know some of you might highlight the issue of racism where aussies prefer to employ aussies. I personally do not think about that issue. There are racists in aussie. But there are also people who are genuine.

Hence I have always comforted myself by knowing I have competed with some competitive people in the market where I do not have a racial advantage (like chinese over indians/malay) and English is not my first language. I always remind myself that I have also gone through some tough interview questions and assessment sessions where every question and task is behavioural in nature to assess you as a potential employee.

And therefore, I am proud to say,

People, I have found a job ^__^

I dislike you

There are a few types of people that I really dislike.

1. People who lie - Once a liar, always a liar.

2. Smokers - it's enough that you want to kill yourself. But smoking in public makes you a mass murderer. Cant stand inconsideration. Especially those who smoke in front of their own kids!!

3. People who cheat - whether they cheat money, friends, bf/gf, or even their own family members. Hate them.

4. Shoe polishers - I dont care if you're the Great Pretender. If you have at least 2 faces, I dislike you. These people love sweet-talking important people and look low on others. They dont realise they are the shallow ones.

5. Spoilt brats - I dont care if you're filthy rich or just spoilt. The world does not revolve around you. You are not the Sun.

6. Murderers - no one on earth is given the authority to take another person's life as they wish.

7. Guys who cant keep their d*cks in their pants - if being loyal is a problem, go die. And men with HIV should really consider giving up their manhood. Dont make others and kids suffer.

8. Rapists - having said the above. Rapists should be given the death sentence.

9. Sexists - so you think male is more superior? Without your mother, you wouldnt even exist!

10. 3rd parties - cant stand guys/girls who squeezes themselves between a couple and has a secret relationship. Love wreckers. So hate them.

Wow. 10 types of people. I guess it's not just "a few". haha.
