America, oh America!

The journey to America started shortly after I arrived in KL..

From KL to Singapore, Singapore to Narita, and finally to LA, it was the longest journey I've ever experienced.

Not forgetting how I spent 8 hours in Changi Airport, watching the shops close, and open the next morning -__- It was definitely an experience as his mum + aunt and me, tried to find the most comfortable row of seats in the airport to have a few moments of sleep. Being ill-prepared, we did not book a room at the transit hotel and found ourselves turned down because they were full...

Until 3am! When they finally said they have a room! :D The ladies at the counter were probably annoyed that I bugged them every hour, asking if there's a triple-room availability. LoL. We eventually settled to the couch just steps away from the front desk, trying very hard not to snore, before a lady came to fetch us for check-in. Hehehe. It definitely felt much better having a proper mattress to sleep on, even if it was only for a few hours. And the morning shower prepared us for the longest journey ever..(before we took our next shower :P)

Throughout the flights, I didnt find myself hungry. But then again, I've never been a fan of airplane food. We were constantly fed while we sat on our big fat bums and watched tv / snored the calories away.. LoL. One item I particularly missed was the vintage cheddar cheese they would occasionaly serve you on your flight to/from Australia. Cheese and crackers.. yumm. I can eat that as a whole meal! But the cold macha soba was definitely yum!! :)

Finally arriving in LA, feeling a bit of winter chill, we stepped out to the arrival hall, looking for the familiar face I've been missing all these while... I was thinking in my head, I cant wait to hug him!! I cant wait to hug him!!

After stretching our necks high and low, our 3 pairs of eyes couldnt spot that "handsome" man. I kept asking myself, maybe I dont recognise him anymore? Maybe he's hiding? Maybe he's in the wrong terminal?

But the phone call revealed the worst news ever......

He was still stuck in Portland, Oregon. Approximately 2 hours flight from LA. All because of my favourite snow..
