I need a Man!!!

in da house...

so that I dont have to climb onto the mini step ladder to try and change the light bulb, first by removing the glass lid, and then fixing it back on, without a proper view, totally depending on touch, while tip-toeing on the ladder just so that my fingers can reach it. Just reaching -__-" I'm short. My arms and calves were totally tired from all the stretching. Just to change a light bulb.

so that I dont have to be the one who change all the light bulbs at home. Well, I dont expect my aunty nor uncle to change them. I dont mind doing it. But I would like to experience the times when I can just sit back and say, "hey, can you please change the light bulb" instead of everyone else saying that to me.

so that I dont have to tighten the loose tap in the laundry periodically before it pops out completely. Some random friend of my uncle did a cheap job changing it last time and now the tap is cheap design with cheap plastic. It's a simple job, really. But you know, I strongly believe I know the tools in the toolbox better than my uncle. And if he's that good, he can change a whole new tap! A good one, of course! ^_^ And I think I should practice a bit of feminism :P Leave the job to the man! If only there was a man...

so that I dont have to help my cousin move stuff like clothes dryer/cupboards/chest drawers/bed frames and random stuff around the house. Worst case was up and down the stairs. Sigh. She has a husband. Either he is not around in Oz, or he's out of sight. Seriously never see him help her with anything before. This type of man want for what? But not my husband. Dont want to say too much :P I dont mind helping when help is needed, but it would be great if there was a man to help. Haha.

What else ah? Basically the man in the da house is needed to do all the heavy chores. Fixing this. Fixing that. Attend to this problem. Attend to that problem. You know, do what a man is supposed to do lah. Hehehe.

The man has to be at least one head taller than me though. So that he can reach the unreachable stuff. He needs to be well built, not some skinny guy. Else I might have to move the heavy stuff myself. He needs to be skillful. As in skillful with his hands and mind. Knows how to think of a good solution and implement it. Not dial the plumbing hotline when there is a leak. Even I can do that -__-"

But on top of that, he must not be some couch potato. So what if he is one head taller, well-built, and skillful but refuses to budge whenever you call for 'help'. He is as good as invisible. Hahahaha..

The place I'm staying now, is 2 streets away from my aunty's. And this house, lives 4 girls. Wakakakaka. And 3 of us, totally undomesticated, except for one. My cousin's cousin. A big house with 4 girls. I need a man in da house!!!

You may be an engineer if

Taken from the New Engineer Journal servicing Manufacturing, Maintenance, Asset Management and Industrial Engineering and Engineering Societies of Engineers Australia, May 2006

You may be an engineer if..

You stare at an orange juice container because it says CONCENTRATE

Your idea of good interpersonal communication means getting the decimal point in the right place

You know the direction the water swirls when you flush

You have saved the power cord from a broken appliance

You have a habit of destroying things in order to see how they work

You can remember seven computer passwords but not your parents wedding anniversary

You think that when people around you yawn it's because they didn't get enough sleep

Engineers out there, do you agree? :P

Sigh. So damn stressed now. Think my head is going to explode! @_@

My weekend

I had quite a weekend. Food, laughter, beautiful places, and more food! Haha.

Beware. This post is full of pictures!

SATURDAY...
City of Perth from the foreshores of South Perth. Perth so tiny right? But so pretty :P

Eeek! My sister, making her appearance to prove that she's in Perth.

Symbols of Western Australia - Black Swans

Look right *click*

Sorry lah. Was a bit early for the dinner at 6pm. Hahaha. Had to find something to do.

The famous Ciao Italia restaurant!!! Yay! Delicious italian food,
but the place is TINY!!! Omg. When I was told the place was small,
I didnt expect it to be THIS small. We were practically sitting
back-to-back with everyone else :P But very friendly
people/waiters, very yummy food, very family-like atmosphere,
reasonable price, and absolutely packed from 6pm...

As if we werent full enough, we went to BoatShed for coffee and cake. Haha. Lots of bottomless pits here in Perth..

Engineering Chicks rule! :P Me, Grace (bday girl) and Qin.

Boatshed is a nice place. Bit more upmarket though. Apparently they
serve really nice tiramisu but unfortunately they changed their menu
few months ago.

SUNDAY...

A bunch of non-wine drinkers decided to have lunch at a cafe winery - Waters Edge Winery.

This place was advertised on Postcards WA for good food.
Definitely must try lah. But eating at a winery can easily set you back
few hundred bucks. Their food are usually nice and unique
but the price.. nevermind. Once in a while. Somemore my older
cousin was treating us mah *blush*

Let's move on to the FOOD...

Salt and Pepper Squid. Not bad. Nothing to shout about though.
Look at the amount of vegies compared to the squid!

The special Sweet Potato Gnocchi with vegetable stack.
I actually wanted to get this. But when I saw the vegetable stack,
I changed my mind. Hahaha.

My 'Fish of the Day' - Griller snapper with a herb crust and tumeric
mash. Yummo!! The herb crust was a bit too much after a while..

The yummilicious Caramelised Apple and Strawberry Crumble.
OMG. I absolutely loved the crumble!!! *slurp*

Eek! My sister again :P

The entrace of the cafe.

The grass so green!!! Actually, no. That is not the focus of the picture.

Nothing beats a weekend with good food. Dont you think so? Good food + great company + nice place = heaven on earth.

Hehe. Would love to have another weekend like this...

mrBf != Christopher

This post is specially dedicated to my new reader, QiQi.

MrBF 'IS NOT EQUAL TO' Christopher Ong.

I dont know how she came to that conclusion, but it's definitely wrong. Right, christopher? -__-" We're just all happy that christopher is finally back for good from Glasgow. And he came back one day before I flew off. That is the story.

MrBF's name dont even start with a C. And his last name is not Ong either..

And I repeat, you dont know/havent seen him before :P

Hahaha.

We love you QiQi!!!
