Sunday shopping
Garden City shopping centre was open today for Telethon Charity Shopping. As usual, whenever these suburb shopping centres trade on a Sunday, every single person that lives in neighbouring and not-so-neighbouring suburbs flock to that place.
SO MANY CARS!!!
I wonder if the city was deserted today.. It seems to me like half of Perth was there. LoL. So hard to find parking. Every row you see at least 2 cars circling. There are not even that many people leaving!!!
And it's not xmas!!!
As soon as you step into the shopping centre, you feel like you're shopping on a really busy weekend in Midvalley -__-" Think megasales! Or MNG sales!! Hahaha. There are people in every corner of the floor. Young, old, middle age, babies who cant even walk yet, everybody was there. LoL. It was just so hard to move among the traffic of people. And small shops made you feel as if there is only one-way in all their narrow aisles of clothing and if someone stops to look at something, oh dear, you better look at the clothes around you too.
SO MANY PEOPLE!!!
Hahahaa. Yeah, I was there despite knowing it's going to be a huge crowd. I'm too bored sitting at home ok. And Garden City is a closer and parking-economy (free!!) alternative to city.
Every inch of the limited number of bench/sofas around the shopping mall is covered with someone's bum. Even the foodcourt was packed!!
And guess what? My sister and I were waiting for tables at the foodcourt. We saw a father-and-son finishing soon, so we stood closer, indicating that we're waiting for their table. Not to pressure them to eat faster!! but just to secure ourselves a table in the busy foodcourt. As they cleaned their plates and left, the father even smiled at us and gestured us to take the table. We courteously thanked him and as soon as I placed my hand on one of the chairs to sit, this grandmother quickly ushered her 2 grandchildren to the chairs and they quickly took the seats....
O_O
I was like... *blink blink*
Speechless!!! I was looking at them with my eyes in shock and my mouth drooped open. I didnt know what to say. I even looked at the grandmother and she looked at me back. Her face reads, "What? Is there something wrong??" They just continued taking their own seats...
I just calmly walked away from the table. As I walked out, my sister had already stormed away from the table, hands crossed, with that angry expression on her face. Hahaha.
Thing is, its a grandmother and her 2 grandkids. The place was already damn packed. I'm sure they could use a table first. But then they just sat down, and the grandmother started peeling mandarin oranges for her grandkids!!! They didnt order any food from the foodcourt!!!
-___-"
Amazing. If she asked me, since I didnt see her until her grandkids dashed for the chairs, I would have gladly let her have the table first. But no!! she took the table as if it's rightfully hers...
I didnt know this sorta thing happened in Aust. Or maybe I'm just being bullied >_<"
aahhhhh!!!!!
But later I spotted a woman with the 3 of them, probably the mother to the kids. And she was chewing her food like those scary aunties you see at the kopitiam with her leg up on the chair. Hahaha. She chewed with her mouth open and seem to be (I could only see, not hear) making that annoying chewing+saliva sound. Luckily her leg was on the ground :P
Oh well. What an interesting sunday :)
Although the night was even more interesting!!! I realised a person's image/reputation is often tarnished by the evil intentions of the most unassuming person. Even though this time it's not my reputation, it's one of those days that I think to myself, how come these people are still living and making other's lives miserable? I can never ever understand that. And who knows, my reputation might have already been tarnished or could be next on the line. Oh how I hate her..
