OZ style

I was having lunch by my self today, my friends already had lunch. What to do? Meeting with project supervisor mah! Anyway, I went to the guild cafe for lunch. Ordered the yummylicious chicken and cheese turkish bread.. ahh...beautiful! The good thing about the cafe is that they heat-press the sandwich for you so that it's toasted and the cheese is melted... *yummy*

Eating slowly, watching everyone that comes to the cafe. It's interesting to watch people, I love it. Hehehe. I dont stalk ok! I simply observe... You get all kinds of people, all sizes, all races, all types of personality. I was sitting right across the different food sections and I got to observe a lot. There are people who can never decide what they want to eat. They walk from one section to the other, and in the end, back to where they started. I am one of them. Hahaha. There are also people who ask questions about certain dishes. "Does this have huge chunks of vegies in it?" Non-vege eater? HMm... I am like that too :P Not really lah, I eat my vegies ok!!! I just dont eat cows. "Is this beef?" is the usual question I ask. For a country so rich for its wonderful beef, I'm seriously left out. But who cares. I dont eat cows. Full stop.

There are also a lot of people who dont eat healthily. Tsk tsk. Who am I to comment? Absolutely no one. Because I am quite unhealthy too sometimes. But how can you just have a large chips for lunch? That's 100% packed with fat isnt? And oz style? Top it up with lots and lots of salt, or even chicken salt, the tastier alternative. I used to tease my friends, "are you eating chips with salt or what? Because that looks like salt with chips." Hahaha. The other alternative is to have it with gravy... the thick brown gravy. I have not tried it, it looks too starchy for me (ie. too much fat) A bit jelly-like texture. Urgh. I wonder how they eat it. They just pour it over the chips for you. Seriously, the way it looks already spoilt my appetite. Presentation plays an important part you know!!! I like the mashed potatoes from KFC though :P Just remember, anything smooth contains fat. That includes mashed potatoes from KFC. But who cares, I dont eat them everyday!!! And a few indulgences wont hurt! *wink*

Not to mention there are people who eat so little I wonder how they get the energy to sustain them for the whole day. Even if you're sitting down, you're constantly burning calories you know! At least I get hungry even if I sit for down for hours, just studying :P Although I rarely do that. Wahahaha. My concentration span is only 30mins max, sometimes more, sometimes less. This woman was having this strawberry tart for lunch. So small!!! about the size of my palm! And she's quite a build. About a size 12. And all she was having for lunch was that. I know that because that's what she told her friend who was passing by. Geez. Shaping up for spring? That's not the way to do it. I actually love strawberry tarts myself :P I love the ones you get from Miss Maud, a Swedish cafe. It's so nice, so beautiful!!! so yummy!!! Hahaha. The last time I introduced my friend to it, he liked it too. But he found it a bit too sweet. Hmm... it's alright for me!

I also bumped into my lecturer I just saw half hour ago! Hahaha. A bit too often dont you think? I was sitting there, observing the students and the cafe people. When suddenly this big figure was looking at me, smiling. Ahh! The supervisor for my project. I politely smiled back. Sometimes he scares me. I dont know why. Is it because he is so big? Or is it because he always looks at you right in the eyes when he talks to you, standing quite close O_O Eye contact? He always emphasises about eye contact and effective communication. But hey! Too much eye contact makes me scared ok!!! And there are people who tell me that he's sleazy... urgh. You know what is sleazy? I didnt, but when they told me that he is, I went to check the dictionary. Hahaha. So now I know. I should be careful. Ahem. But then he is the chairperson for my engineering major!!! I will see him again next year! And he will probably be my best reference from uni. Oh, he was the one who called me Magdalena :P He got my name right today though, Su.

The shocker of the day?!!! Wahahahaha. I almost choked on my salad. This guy walked in, dressed a bit like a gypsy. Stripes, colours, hair. He has a bandana-thing on his head, looking very colourful and interesting how he got his bushy curly hair to come out of the 2 holes on his bandana... are you thinking what I'm thinking? Probably not, who in the world would think of that anyway? I was observing him, his bandana, when I realised something... it wasnt a bandana. It was an underwear O_o" I almost spat out whatever I was eating. I tried so hard to contain myself. He was wearing an underwear on his head. Can you imagine that? I can never!!! The waist of the underwear was slopped on his head like a hairband. Then he simply pulled his hair through the 2 holes... OMG. I wonder where his brain is. Or maybe he just have this wacky sense of dressing. If you call that a dressing style. These people have got the craziest idea going on, they just never put it to good use. He was wearing this weird sleeveless shirt over a 3/4 length body-hugging piece underneath. Then he was also wearing 3/4 colourful striped hugging pants, almost like what people where to gym. Over a pair of baggy pants. Barefoot, like a typical aussie. The more I look at him, the crazier I think he is.

Sigh.. some people are just too creative. I wonder if I was the only one who noticed what he was wearing on his head. Nobody around him seem to stare at his headpiece the way I was. Ok, I was being kinda rude. I did stop staring after a while. I wonder what his classmates tell/ask him, "omg! that is such a cool headband! Love the colours! Love the style!" Maybe. Or even "is that a underwear you are wearing on your head?", "no it's not! It's what I call a custom made bandana."
