Shall We Dance?

wah... I said I'll post this up ages ago! :P Anyway, just scanned this leaflet for you guys to see. I came back from Melbourne on Monday midnight and my cousin invited me to go to this musical on Tuesday. I did. And the night I sat there, I wondered, will this be another show that will make me wanna learn dancing again? Hahaha. Ok, first movie was "Shall We Dance", after watching that movie I fell in love with it, and started to learn dancing. I took up lessons, learning a few dances, cha cha, samba, quick step to name a few. Cant remember what the rest were called. Hahaha. But after about 5 lessons I stopped - exams and I went back to Malaysia. Of course when I came back I didnt continue anymore, I was simply lazy!

So Chee Chiaw, dancing ball ah? You organise for everyone to take up lessons first ok? Hahaha. Including me, that is :P

When we were outside, I felt so left out - the majority of the crowd were seniors! Haha. I felt like a minor in the crowd, almost as if I am at the wrong venue! :P In fact I think me and my cousin were the only chinese... *hides* But no lah, I actually feel quite proud (wah... hear me talk!) to be able to enjoy stuff like these... anyway. The musical started..

The dancers were so good!!! There were about 8 pairs of dancers on stage altogether, choreographed by Jason Gilkison, a Perth born lad. Omg... my eyes just stayed wide open O_O the whole time! I was so impressed! Their movements were strong and full of energy, yet graceful. Their legs and feet, so fast and powerful! And their bodies of course... wah. How I wish I had their bodies :P dancers have great body *hint hint*

The girls were dressed quite sexily *wink* but the guys were pretty normal. Although they were half naked most of the times! Hahaha. All their dances were full of energy and entertaining. I just watched them and I already felt tired for them. The dances were all the classic dances, but with a touch of hip hop and more fun than the classics. I brought my camera in there, only to read the sign "no cameras allowed in the theatre." It was a waste! The whole show was so entertaining and beautiful! If any of you were here, I would definitely recommend you guys to watch it. Even if you think you dont know anything about dancing, just go ahead. After watching it, you would take up dance lessons! Haha.

Oh, there were 2 girls I particularly liked. Hehehe. One is a latin-looking girl with frizzy curls. I dont really know how to describe what she looks like but she was so good! Her moves were expressive and bold, and she just had this thing that makes people notice her. Ooh la la! Sexy too. Hahaha. Then there is this other blonde Aussie girl, very good moves too. But she was more of the flirty type. Very beautiful though, hehehe. The guys? Nothing great, no one that stood out. Sigh. And no! I am not a lesbo ok! I'm very much straight! ^_^

How I wish I can actually watch it again or at least have it on Dvd or something like that. The soundtracks were good too, great band! Oh... I especially melted when they danced to the song la vie en rose. Wah... the lady who sang all the songs had such a powerful voice! She made the song sound so smooth...hmm. I have a copy of that soundtrack... hehehe.

How did I feel after that show? Well, I did feel a small tinge to pick up dancing again. But I dont know if I'll have the motivation to continue. Hahaha. Problem is we cant get any guys to learn!!! Guys!!! Dancing is not sissy ok! The last time was just a bunch of girls learning, and it was pretty hard with only 1 guy - the instructor! hehehe... wait till I get my bf to learn with me :P
