Turning failure into success

I suddenly felt like being a bit domesticated.. Hahaha. Amazed leh? I didnt burn down the kitchen ok!!! Anyway, I was supposed to do something, but then it didnt turn out. The chocolate that I melted (ooh...yummy yummy) wasnt 'runny' enough to do what I wanted to do. No, I'm not going to tell you what I was supposed to do. Anyway...

I spent more than one hour trying to melt the chocolate over a pot of boiling water over the stove. It melted, but it was too thick!!! Why ah?! I keep thinking maybe the water droplets from the lid fell into my chocolate and so now the consistency is like that!!! *cry* All my effort and time... gone!! Not to mention the first thing that was gone was my mood to continue whatever I was doing. Sigh. Stirring and stirring, keep adding boiling water to the other pot, keep boiling and boiling, but the chocolate just didnt get to what I wanted it to be!!!!

Looking at the yummy yummy bowl of melted dark chocolate ... just looking at it, stirring it, smelling its rich aroma, oooh...I almost ate the whole pot by itself! :P Hahaha.

yummy not? melted dark chocolats leh!!! WAH!!! Looks yucky? Its melted chocolate ok! what do you expect it to look like!?

Anyway, I cant be throwing the whole pot of the world's greatest creation into the bin right? I decided to do this... hehehe

Everybody nice or not?! Wahahahaha. Chocolate coated strawberries! *drools* I used those little little cake cases and it looks so cute! Just like those you get from dessert shops. It's compound chocolate, so I didnt need to put them into the fridge. It sets by itself. Hehehe. It was so yummy!!! I can taste the rich dark chocolate.... aahhh... how I love chocolate and strawberries.

So there you are, a failure turned into success!!! Hehehe.

But then strawberries cant keep that long, especially when I've dipped them into HOT chocolate, hahaha. I'm going to bring some to a few friends tomorrow and Monday. Hehehe. Save some for myself also lah :P

Although it was so cute, I cant help thinking about my other failed project. Sigh. Still cant figure out why the chocolate was so thick. Can anyone give me any pointers? I melted this chocolate before. It wasnt this thick. The only reason I can think of is the water droplets. *cry*

OK! I dont care! Tomorrow I'm going to buy another 2 packets of those Nestle Melts and try again. This time I'm not going to use the lid! Stupid lid! And if its still too thick, I'll add normal cooking chocolate. Can? Think it will work? Wish me all the best!!! I'm determined to 'save' my project... gambate!!!

*uni starting on Monday ah!!! Scared.. better finish my chocolate project by tomorrow..
